"Verlangen" is a painted animated film that tells the story of a parent-child relationship in which an ever-growing distance develops. The father, TOON (34), bottles up all his sorrow because his wife has gone missing. He tries to stay strong for his son, CHRIS (10). He doesn’t cry on the outside, but on the inside. As a result, he keeps getting taller. The son needs his father but can no longer reach him. The distance between father and son keeps growing.
