2021 Bellum - Regie
"BELLUM" is about the suppression, transmission, and breaking free from war trauma. In the documentary, we follow Vivien Broekman, a second-generation war victim, who has felt her entire life as though she, too, is in hiding as a result of her father’s trauma. The trauma also affects the third generation, Vivien’s son. In this documentary, we explore whether it is possible for Vivien’s family to break free from a trauma caused by an event they never experienced themselves.
